Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This privacy policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) of Empirique Gestion Immobilière (hereinafter the “Company”) has been established in accordance with Canada’s Bill C25 and is intended to ensure the protection and confidentiality of our customers’ personal information.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to the collection, use, retention and disclosure of customer personal information in the course of providing property management services.

3. Collection of Personal Information

3.1. Personal information is collected directly from the customer during the first visit to the website or through any other request for information.

3.2. The types of information collected may include information about tenants (income, credit check, pet, previous owner, roommates, family situation: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any other information deemed relevant in the context of setting up a rental lease) and about landlords (last name, first name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, size of the real estate portfolio, location of the real estate portfolio and any information deemed relevant in the context of managing a rental property).
3.3. All data is integrated and shared within Groupe Empirique.

4. Use of Personal Information

4.1. Personal information collected is used exclusively for :

      • The provision of services requested by the customer.
      • Administrative management and billing.
      • Communication with the customer concerning the administrative management of his or her property or any other relevant information.
      • Internal research, analysis and evaluation.

4.2. The Company does not sell, rent or disclose customer personal information to third parties without the customer’s prior consent, unless required by law.

5. Retention of Personal Information

5.1. The Company retains personal information in accordance with the requirements of Bill C25 and the professional standards applicable to each of the services offered.

5.2. Personal information is kept in a secure environment, protected against unauthorized access, improper use, modification, disclosure or destruction.

6. Access to Personal Information

6.1. The customer has the right to access, rectify or request the deletion of his or her personal information held by the Company, except as provided by law.

6.2. For any request for access, rectification or deletion, the customer is invited to contact the company’s Privacy Officer.

7. Updating the Policy

7.1. This Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on our website and, if necessary, communicated to customers.
